we are currently interested in new artists in the following areas: *silversmiths specializing in rings *handbag + accessory designers *leather work {wallets, cuffs, etc} *clothing designers *painters/printmakers
we are currently not in need of:
*beaded jewelry *photography

submissions.... we take submissions every 2nd tuesday of each month.... please understand that we are extremely busy people and that, although exceptions will be made, this is the day we set aside each month to begin this process, take in new pieces from current existing artists, and pay our artists.... DUE TO THE ENORMOUS QUANTITY OF ARTISTS DROP-OFFS, whenever possible, we appreciate online submissions which can include;
1. etsy site, contact us at elementalityartists@gmailcom sending us your etsy url, we assume that your 'wholesale' price will be half of your etsy list price, if this is not accurate please email corresponding 'wholesale' prices
or
2. myspace, deviantart, etc. contact us at elementalityartists@gmail.com sending us your site url, and a separate wholesale price list included in the email.
or
3. email photographs of your work, with attached wholesale prices.
please note: due to the incredible amount of submissions we receive weekly we are not always able to respond to every inquiry.. we apologize for this and wish you all the best.
please read the following information, as some still applies to online submissions.
what you need if coming in to submit on the 2nd tuesday of the month- please be prepared to come in and drop off-
1. samples of your work- between 4-10 samples of your work, photos/website of work also acceptable
2. price list- a detailed price list with: a. your 'wholesale' price b. a thorough description of each piece and coinciding prices (from this list we will ascertain our ability to sell at a fair price to our customers) please keep in mind while configuring your 'wholesale' price, that a fair retail price should be double your wholesale price (having reasonable prices will ensure that we sell a higher number of your items!)
3. contact info- please attach a business card or contact sheet to your work to include- your name, phone number, email address, and any other info you deem pertinent
4. packaging/presentation- please bring work in clean protective packaging of some sort- for jewelry individual plastic baggies are good, please make sure that all pieces are 'ready-to-wear', clothing is clean and de-stringed, and that knitted/crocheted or fiber items are made in a smoke free environment
5. time and patience- generally we are able to get through most artists submissions within about one to two weeks, however we have had an incredible influx of submissions on top of our current artists {this is also the day that they submit their new work each month} so we humbly ask that you try and remain patient with us and know that we will contact you as soon as we are done reviewing your work
6. understanding- please do not be personally offended if your work is not selected to be carried in our shop.... we see a lot of really beautiful work that is simply not a good fit for elementality
